The host plant is the Common Yellow Stem Fig (Ficus fistulosa). A massive invasion was seen in December 2015 on a Common Yellow Stem Fig tree.

In a 2010 report on the status of Malayan Banyan (Ficus microcarpa) in Singapore, there was a picture showing the caterpillars on the leaves (page 12) of this fig tree. However, I had yet to see one so far on this tree.
