Below are the same wasps except that they do not have the long-pointed tail extension. They are probably male wasps.

In a 2002 publication [1] on the revision of the Old World species of 3 wasp species, it listed Megischus insularis as the species available in Singapore (page 115). In the same page of the article, the colour of the head and neck was indicated as orange-brown while the wasp as a whole is black or dark brown. Hence, I had named the wasp in my pictures as Megischus insularis.
