(1) The 2 main references in Singapore used the name Ficus aurantiacea (with an additional "e"). Namely: (a) The Concise Flora of Singapore by Hsuan Keng, 1990, page 69. (b) A Guide to the Fabulous Fig of Singapore, 2005, page 61, 64-65. However, this name cannot be found in the International Plant Names Index (IPNI) website. Instead, the name Ficus aurantiaca (with an "e" missing) is available.

(2) In the Germplasm Resources Information Network (GRIN) website, Ficus aurantiaca was indicated to be a synonym of Ficus punctata. This is the similar situation in the local pictorial plant guide "1001 Garden Plants in Singapore, 2006, page 38". Hence, I have decided to use Ficus punctata instead of F. aurantiacea or F. aurantiaca.
