I had previously named this fern as Cyclosorus subpubescens. However, this name might belong to a different species since it is also an accepted names in the Plant List website. In a taxonomic revision of the genus Cyclosorus published in 2013, both Cyclosorus subpubescens and Christella subpubescens were treated as synonyms of Cyclosorus latipinnus.
